Chen, Orioles meet Devil Rays

Baltimore (73-88) at Tampa Bay (67-94), 2:15 pm EDT

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Ticker) -- Bruce Chen and the Baltimore Orioles hope to end their disappointing season on a strong note when they meet the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Sunday in the season finale.

Since starting the season 30-16, the Orioles have been one of baseball's worst teams. Baltimore has dropped 13 of its last 17, but Sal Fasano and Melvin Mora both belted solo homers Saturday to lift the Orioles to a 4-3 win over the Devil Rays on Saturday.

Chen (12-10, 3.86 ERA) has struggled over his last two starts, allowing 12 runs in just 9 1/3 frames against the Yankees. The lefthander is 2-1 in four starts against the Devil Rays this year.

Tampa Bay counters with rookie Tim Corcoran (0-0, 6.38), who makes his first career start. The righthander has worked 18 1/3 frames this year in nine relief appearances.
